Sheila Barter was connected to Chelsea’s Hope after her son Thomas was diagnosed with Lafora Disease in 2018. The support received was invaluable and she wanted to help other families navigate this horrible disease while also advocating for research. She began volunteering and eventually joined the Leadership team, where she currently serves as Treasurer.
