“My name is Maysoon Hussain, and I am from Coppell, TX. I am a recent graduate of Ross University School of Medicine and I am currently applying for my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In my work as a research intern at UT Southwestern and through seeing the work of my mother in the rare disease space, I became interested in learning about and contributing to this field. I admire the work of Chelsea’s Hope: The prospect of being part of a community dedicated to bringing hope to patients and families affected by rare diseases resonates deeply with me, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful initiatives.”
